American Sanctuary Association-ASA recognizes that there are countless abandoned, abused and neglected animals in the world today. The ASA exists to assure the humane and compassionate care for these animals by setting standards for their care, accrediting sanctuaries that meet these standards, networking with member sanctuaries, assisting in the rescue and placement of homeless animals, supporting legislation that protects animals, educating the public, and reaching out to other segments of the rescue community.

Wheatsville Co-op-the most successful food co-op in Texas, serving Austin and the surrounding region for more than 30 years. 

Animal Rescue League of Iowa-Iowa's largest nonprofit animal shelter, caring for over 11,000 pets each year.

Animal Trustees of Austin-ATA was founded in May of 1993 by concerned citizens desiring to help lost, abused and abandoned animals in Austin and surrounding counties. 

Utopia Animal Rescue Ranch-a never-kill sanctuary owned by Kinky Friedman, well-known for his books; his band, Kinky Friedman and the Texas Jewboys; and most recently his candidacy for Governor of Texas.

Down Home Ranch-a country place for kids and adults with special needs. The ranch's mission is to build a rural, self-reliant community for adults with mental retardation, offering training, housing, recreation, and dignified employment, as well as opportunities for growth in mind, body, and spirit.

Hacienda de los Milagros-animal sanctuary in Chino Valley, Arizona. Dedicated to the rescue of all animals, providing sanctuary for them to live out their natural lives.

The Community of Hope-the mission of The Community of Hope is to create and sustain Christian communities of
volunteer lay pastoral caregivers in the Episcopal Diocese of Texas, united in prayer, shaped by Benedictine spirituality and equipped for and serving in pastoral care ministries.

Episcopal Theological Seminary of the Southwest-formation for mission and ministry at the Seminary of the Southwest is rooted in the belief that the Christian church exists for the sake of those outside its walls, as well as for the gathered community.
